Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the MigNo iPhone application (the "App") handles your information. The App is operated by Ruslan Zaripov ("we", "us"). By using MigNo you agree to this policy.
The short version. Your diary — pain levels, symptoms, triggers, medications, notes — is stored on your device. We never receive it. There is no account and no sign-up. If you turn on sync, entries go to your own private iCloud database, which we cannot read. Health and weather data are used on the device to enrich your entries. The only thing that can leave the App for us is anonymous product analytics, which contains no diary content and which you can switch off.
Data You Enter in the Diary
Attacks, pain intensity, location and character of pain, symptoms, triggers, medications and doses, pain-free days, notes and questionnaire answers are stored locally on your device in the App's own database. This data is not transmitted to our servers, because the App has no servers of its own. We have no ability to read, recover or restore it.
iCloud Sync (optional, off by default)
If you enable sync in Settings, your diary is synchronised through Apple CloudKit into the private database of your own iCloud account. Only your devices signed in to that Apple Account can read it. We are not a party to this transfer and have no access to the contents. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy. Turning sync off stops further synchronisation; data already in iCloud can be removed from your Apple Account settings.
Health Data (Apple Health)
With your explicit permission, the App reads the following from Apple Health to place your attacks in context: sleep analysis, menstrual flow, step count, resting heart rate and heart rate variability. With the same permission it can write headache entries back to Apple Health so your records stay in one place.
- Health data is read on the device and shown only inside the App.
- Health data is never transmitted to us and is never used for advertising or marketing.
- Health data is never sold, shared with data brokers, or used for any purpose other than the features you enabled.
- You can revoke access at any time in the iOS Health app; the diary keeps working without it.
Location and Weather
If you allow location access, the App requests your approximate position (accuracy of about one kilometre, while the App is in use) and passes those coordinates to Apple WeatherKit to retrieve the weather and barometric pressure for the time of your attack. We do not receive your coordinates and do not build a location history. Weather values fetched this way are stored with the attack on your device. Location access is optional: without it, weather correlation is simply unavailable.
Notifications
The evening question and reminders are local notifications scheduled by your device. No push server is involved and no notification content is sent over the network.
Face ID and Passcode Lock
The optional lock is handled by iOS. Biometric data never leaves your device and is never available to the App or to us.
Product Analytics
The App may send anonymous product analytics through TelemetryDeck, whose servers are located in the European Union. What is sent is limited by design to a fixed list of event names — for example, that an attack was saved, that the statistics screen was opened, or that a purchase failed — together with coarse buckets such as "logging took under 15 seconds" and the selected plan name.
- No diary content is included: no pain levels, medication names, dates, notes or health values.
- No account identifier, email, advertising identifier (IDFA) or precise device identifier is attached.
- Analytics are not used for tracking across apps or websites, and the App does not request tracking permission.
- You can turn analytics off in the App's settings.
Subscriptions and Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. Apple tells the App whether an active entitlement exists; we never see or store your payment card details, billing address or Apple Account credentials. No third-party subscription or attribution SDK is used.
Advertising
The App contains no advertising and no advertising SDKs.
Data Retention and Deletion
Diary data is kept on your device until you delete individual entries, clear your data in the App's settings, or delete the App. Deleting the App removes its local data from that device; if sync was enabled, a copy may remain in your iCloud account until you remove it there. Anonymous analytics events are retained by TelemetryDeck in aggregated form and cannot be traced back to you, so they cannot be individually deleted on request.
Export of Your Data
You can export your complete diary as JSON or CSV at any time, free of charge, from the App's settings. The export is created on your device and shared only where you choose to send it.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at the address below.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and objection regarding personal data. Because your diary is held on your device and in your own iCloud account, you exercise these rights directly: view, edit, export or delete your data inside the App. For questions about the anonymous analytics described above, or any other privacy question, write to us.
Third Parties We Rely On
- Apple — App Store purchases, iCloud sync (if enabled), Apple Health, WeatherKit.
- TelemetryDeck — anonymous product analytics, EU-based servers, no user identifier.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version, and material changes will be reflected in the App.
